(Help) downgrading using fsm
I want to downgrade my chechE01 on ofw 1.94 to a lower firmware to fix an updating problem. I havent ever downgraded with fsm, other than using e3 flasher. When I read ps3devwiki it says to use a modified 3.41 pup and the step 1 and 2 lvl2diag files. Are those fsm lvl2 Dimas only for 3.55 or can I use them for 1.94? Also, when I downgrade, will I have to toggle qa flag to update after that? The devwiki also said I need to backup dev_flash2 and dev_flash3 before downgrading and then restore after to have blue ray playback. Does that sound right and if so, how do I even do that on this firmware? I don't have comgenie to view those files to back them up. Thanks for any help

@carldenning
exactly what justthatdude said. I will tell you so you don't have to go looking for previous thread. I have a chechE01 on 1.94. When I try to update it, it goes to about 5 or 10% and then says error 8002f147. Tht apparently means error updating. The console asks me to restart and then it boots back to XMb. Works fine other than that. We thought downgrading it to a lower firmware and then updating would fix this. Thanks for reading
