yup 1 lv2diag for all options, preloader that is!! not for the PUP install

use the step1/enter(341) for that, after install/shutdown
ur still in FSM if u edit "advance.cfg" to 0; for "exit FSM" for backup flash2,3
then last step 3 format usb/replace PUP&enter lv2diag for:

advance.cfg(edited for restore dev_flash folders 2/3 and exit FSM)
preloader lv2diag.self from zip
the 2 dev_flash folders 2,3 backups/renamed as flash2.bin/flash3.bin

it's all assuming those 341lv2diag selfs works on <<< tho..can't find anything about it so do at ur own risk hehe suc6!

this step: exit FSM after everything can be done with the Preloader self while restoring dev_flash 2/3(flash2.bin/flash3.bin) just edit the "advance.cfg" to ;1 belowe FSM settings, after finish job ps3 wil shutdown

@playerkp420 do you know if the step 1 and step 2 lvl2diags will work on 1.94 ofw? I am going to use preloader lvl2diag and advanced.cfg to backup my dev_flash, then I was going to use step 1 lvl2diag and 1.90 ofw to downgrade, then I was going to use preloader lvl2 again to restore the dev_flash files, and then step 2 folder lvl2 to exit. Sound like it should work?

Yeah it should work. @CrashSerious is the most knowledgable about FSM

I don't think I have ever had a console in FSM that low.

I don't see any special lv2.diag.self for lower firmware. I would think it would work.

I probably got a console around here somewhere, that I could test it. I would just have to make a dump of the nor with my flasher first.

I actually have one I need to downgrade any way. Let me go look and see what the min. firmware is.

It's a CECHH, so it can go to 1.94.

I wouldn't be able to test the downgrade. But I could test going in and out of FSM in 1.94.

That would be awesome. Thanks. If it can go in and out of fsm, then it should be able to perform the downgrade, you would think? If it can go in and out of fsm with the 3.55 fsm files, then I guess I will be giving it a go, after I use the preloader to back up my dev_flash files for blue ray playback. If I do downgrade, will I need to qa flag to go up to 3.55?

I am about to downgrade it now. Had some others I had to get done first.

I think it will work fine, but will let you know. I remember when I used to remarry drives on 2.30 it worked.

UPDATE
Well, I used min ver checker and I guess it is only 1.97. And there was no 1.97 on the wiki. So I went to OFW 2.00.

I entered FSM with my PSP. Booted up fine with the big red box.
Then I used the lv2diag.self from the FILE2 folder here, to exit. It exited just like it was supposed to.

I don't see why it wouldn't work on 1.94 or 1.90, or 1.00 for that matter.

@playerkp420 so, I think I know what I need to do. I am going to enter fsm with my e3 card reader, then I am going to use preloader lvl2diag to backup my dev_flash 2 and 3. Then I am going to use the step1 lvl2diag and 1.90 ofw pup on a USB to downgrade. Then use preloader lvl2diag to restore the dev_flash 2 and 3. Then use the step 2 lvl2 to exit fsm. Does that sound like it should work. I don't need to use a special firmware like a mfw or anything? And then do I need to qa flag the console to update to 3.55 ofw? Thanks for all the help.

That sounds right.

No reason to use MFW.

I'm sure this is wrong but, is the reason I don't need to use a mfw or qa flag because I am lower than 3.55 and they didn't have syscon checks? If not why, just for future knowledge?
