You have to have a PS3. Even then it requires the charles proxy to redirect the PS3's request for information on the current Vita update. The proxy does not work with the Vita itself as Sony patched that, but it does work on a 4.25 PS3.

Due to this leak, developer Coldbird has left the scene:

A big **** you to Mister Coldbird imo.

What a ****.

http://www.coldbird.uk.to/?e=9

It's funny that he talks with this high and mighty attitude. He's as guilty as this Sam Jordan guy and twice the hypocrit he accuses Sam Jordan of being.

With nob ends like this... It's no wander progress is so slow.

We need some new blood in this scene and burn all the stalwart Sony hackers

They're the true rot in the apples.

Hackers in the Sony scenes are only interested in one thing - CREDIT.

It's not sad at all, these "oh so holier than thou" types need rooting out and sent packing. It's like fans of a sports team - most people spend their time kissing ass - bull****. Hacking is about doing something for the sake of doing it and taking pride in your work, what on earth has credit got to do with it.

Pride does not = credit.

It's like we've got a whole bunch of them with this attitude, kinda like people who can't do their job anymore and insist on working past retirement age and they just won't leave.

I think the Sony scenes (PSP\Vita\PS3) would all be in a much healthier state 12 months down the line if it started from scratch. I personally believe that the new blood is put off because of these old timers ruling the roost and it appearing that there's nothing up for grabs. You know as soon as someone like Zadow makes progress we get the old guard making comments, or Math discrediting him and so on.

As much as I want to argue with you, if you think about it you're right.
Why did people in his team have to give away to Sam Jordam in the first place, I think people haven't noticed the actual thing we have to deal with in this case.
IT WASN'T GOING TO BE RELEASED ANYWAY

He says 'It wasn't meant to be released yet.' But on wololo.net I do remember seeing it wasn't going to be released. Even on YouTube, Sam Jordam claims he wouldn't of released it anyway, and it's already patched apparently. I thought Sam was ****ing everything up, apart from then I realized Sony aren't that stupid to allow people to access the firmware in PSP emulator. He's just seeking attention moving away from the scene and in 5 months he'll probably do what Matheulh did. I don't know what to think though because he's a good developer but developers always leave and come back and it pisses me and everyone else off.

I got into Proshell and PSNdecrypt. Just had to rename the v/eboot's to wmenu.bin. PSN decrypt is odd. It errors saying npdrm file not found. The file that comes with PSNdecrypt is probably the nprdm, but is probably encrypted somehow.

Proshell does nothing at this point. I can navigate the PSP Emulator and delete files, but does not run anything. POPs and Game Image are options as to how to run a file.... For now though, Proshell is just like PSPlorer.

I do believe this was probably part of Coldbird's "Project Arc," announced on his blog. It would have been released anyway because more than one group has the kernel exploit/is working on the kernel exploit.

Considering the fact also one "dev" on ps vita (yep, we all are user less or more with time and knowledge) try to get job at sony building (Shinagawa)

Most of the time, it s the same story with people telling they are against piracy etc..well i have other concern on my life to think if someone on other country will use piracy or really buy the game (and with basics economics knowledge it can be seen as adjust the market)
Leak is bad as it is: you don t mind if at the first place you do it for yourself (and not for look smart to others people you might never know, even it s for sure kind of good feeling) and it s about video game. But yes, it s really bad if you are not into it because you planned to sell it or was just self center/selfish.
Ps vita is not popular, it s even more weirdo to be into it than on ps3 (as me or other here) so if leak happens... be happy it s mean there are still some interest for others on your work.
