This list is pretty tempting and awesome, I wonder, the same can be done without buying the Cobra USB?

£30 (38€) for this seems like a rip-off but people still buy it as what they list is what people want.

The two BIG reasons why I did not go for a DEX console are:

1. I have just 1 PS3, cannot afford 1 more as the games itself take a huge chunk out of my pay so if I brick it in any slight bit of way, I am literally F()CKED.. And I do not own a E3 Flasher which is like an essential pre-requisite for DEX'ing.

2. AFAIK, CEC - DEX is not that impossible however going DEX - CEX is a pain in the a$$ with huge chances of bricking. And again, if for some reason I feel I need to go back to CEX (like PSN Access) it won't be so easy.

It's a dangerous *step* but if you read carefully and you convert to DEX you will be amazed about how much you can do with so little effort.

Many users got stuck on debug..happens about brick risk yeah it's high but again if you read carefully and re-check every single step you can do it.
Many users done it and are on DEX now about going back to CEX well that's another problem.

I was the same (one PS3 on OFW) until I got given an RSOD 3.55 (NAND) and my mate said if I fix it, I could have it. Fixed it and converted that one to DEX. That was lucky as I didn't have to buy a flasher to DG my OFW machine.

I am not going to convert that unit back to DEX as there is currently no point (for me personally) being on CEX on 3.55.

However, if (that's a big fvcking if!) CFW comes out that can be installed on 4.25 (or the current OFW at it's release) then I might install it on my OFW machine, or pick up another PS3 for it.

It's BD not BR.

BR's most known for Brazil, since it's the initials of its country.

BD however is Blu-ray Disc, initials are BD, or short for Blu-ray (BD).
