Bino 3D Video Player

Here's a computer program I've found that allows you to watch movies in 3D without a special 3D monitor or TV. Afaik, all you need is a graphics card that supports 3D. Works fine with my Nvidia 560 GTX Ti. I have all bluray quality movies and they are amazing. It also worked on my friends 530 GT. There's several methods of using this. My preferred method is the green/magenta glasses that you use to play 3D trioviz games like Arkham City or Captain America on the PS3 or 360. I bought 3 pair for about a combined $6 on ebay. I also have the red/blue glasses but I didn't like them as much. The movie has to be in 3D format. The player can play or configure just about any format and will even convert and play 3D movies in normal 2D. I know there's other apps out there like this. This is just the one I found to work the best for me. I'll post some links to download the app and get some glasses. Enjoy!

coloured lenses screw with my eyes badly so i got a 3d monitor with passive glasses instead.
overrated IMO, the novelty soon wore off after a few movies

I was playing Arkham City and Dead Space 2 with the 2D-->3D conversion (a la TV doing the converting) and it looked pretty cool. Wasn't a lot of pop out at you stuff but it was different.

I agree though, the novelty wears off fairly quick (and spurs a nasty headache)

I love it. Whenever I go to the movies/cinema I opt for 3D. I watched The Immortals in 3D at home and thought it was kick-ass. Pirate's on Stranger Tides was pretty amazing too. I'm easily amused though. I'm sure I can enjoy it for a long time to come. I can now also avoid having to buy a new TV. It's open sourced too so hopefully it can be incorporated into Showtime for PS3 so I won't have to hook my tower up to my TV to watch it. Although, I could also use my laptop to watch it on my TV.
