Devolution is built into most loaders now as the default.

Devolution will never work from burnt discs. The whole AP protection built into it dis-allows this from the get go.

Burnt disc GC games are OLD SCHOOL. Most new Wii's dont read burnt media anyway , so its pointless now.

So does this literally load GC games from a USB?

Yep, but you need the original disc inorder to verify the back up (only once) then you can run the game freely on your wii.

The AP built into it prevents you loading downloaded backups, and even sharing or DVV files or backup images.

It's clever.

Dios Mios on the other hand allows any backups to run. Its my preferred loader, but it doesnt support audio streaming.... yet..

My Dios Mios thread:

But if I have the game, I can back them up and play?

You certainly can.

You just need your drive formatted to FAT32 and 32kb cluster size. See the first post for more info.

Oh, well the fat32 just killed it for me, ever since Wii started supporting ntfs i made the switch, I'm not formatting 2TB of data for gamecube games rofl.

Maybe I'll use a flash drive

You can always use DML (dios mios lite, rather than DM) to load from SD card.

You can also add a fat32 partition to your ntfs drive, just a small partition for GC game is all you need, probably 20GB should cover the good GC games. I picked up a 16GB usb stick the other day for $8, another route you could take.

Got a 32gb usb from PNY from walmart today.

Gonna try it out tomorrow after I get done working

Pretty excited, I have a library of like 100+ gamecube games, been waiting for this to happen

r159 is up, nothing very exciting about this new version except it supports USB keyboards (including hotplugging) and will recognize the following key combinations:
- Control-Alt-Escape = power off
- Control-Shift-Escape = reset current game
- Control-Alt-Delete = exit to HBC
- Control-Alt-Enter = switch between disc 0 and disc 1 when a change disc prompt is displayed
- Control-Alt-Down = activate screen dimming
- Control-Alt-Up = deactivate screen dimming
- Control-Alt-Left = disable the slot LED indicator
