Looking for power button on CECHA01 mainboard.
Hello all, I have a ps3 that I am currently puting a water cooling solution in and I would like to find the spot on the motherboard where the power button leads are so I can make it so the water cooling system turns on with the PS3 instead up having a separate button/switch for it..

Is there nobody who knows this? Is there at least a guide or website that shows key locations on the motherboard?

@Stiltz85
, how dous the cooler gets it's power supply, via the ps3?
finding the leads for the power button won't do you any good, if you are getting power from the ps3 (hopefully 12v) you can use the connector/wires from the internal fan. |

No, I need the switch. If you know anything about car audio systems it is pretty much the same thing as the accessory wire for an amplifier. It tells the amp when to turn on and off. Car power is off and the amp is off, turn the key and the amp turns on.
It's the same theory here. I need a low voltage connection that tells the water cooler that the ps3 has powered on so it will power up with it. |

the 5 wire cable from the power supply is an option, the most left wire is the startup wire, on standby it is 0V and when you press the power button it goes to 3V3. that wire is directly from an ic so it can't handle any current. that's why i said to use the 12V from the fan cable, on standby it is 0V and when on it is 12V, plain and simple. |

the power button has a signal of +3,3V (not pushed), 0V (pushed), when you let go of the button the logic level will return to 3,3v so what do you want to draw....lol |
