doing that will not perma-brick, most likely. since the files involved are firmware related, reinstalling a pup in recovery should fix any problems. that being said if you do brick, it's your fault and I'm not responsible.

now, what I'd like to know....will this repack a pup? It would be really nice to have a nice simple gui based app to unpack, edit & repack pups, all-in-one....that would make simple editing of, say, certificates for psn access really easy!!

If this was the case it would be so easy to do many things including custom payloads and building in showtime and many others as much as the mind can think of. keep the good apps coming very useful

Well its prolly best not to make such assumptions then if your not sure, you're also wrong. It's likely you won't be able to even get into recovery after messing around as he asked.
