f*ckpsn sends a blank id to psn so if it doesn't work anymore it means that psn no longer accept blank ids.
In the worst case this could mean that we would no longer be able to fake our console id.

Sony updates the network one area at a time so i guess that for now there are still people that can log in but it's just a question of time.

Actually the last few revisions have blanked out console ID. It has been stopped before, and later made to work so I doubt blanked IDs have anything to do with it. Also just because your console ID is blanked, your MAC and PSID are still exposed.

I don't know why everyone is so shocked. How many times has Sony stopped modders from getting on PSN? It is bound to happen until either every firmware gets owned on a constant basis (like the PSP) or Sony puts all of their attention towards a new console (enter PS4).

Sony doesn't want to give up because to their legitimate customer base it will look as though Sony lost to the "evil hackers" and PS4 sales will be worse than PS3 sales which is something Sony can't have happen if they want to continue to be a force in the home gaming console market. Who wants to buy a system to play online that is full of modders, and cheaters? The whole PSN crash made them look bad enough.

But all they have to do is Data Transfer their mods to an OFW, and they can mod/cheat online again, right?

You made a valid point but the thing is that since psn was enabled on cfw i didn't see any more cheaters/modders than when you could only play online on ofw.
From what i can see sony is merely denying access to psn to those people on cfw that only want to play online normally and purchase dlcs legitimately.
