I spent days with an error like that, use a different usb stick.
I got a particular PS3 that just didn't like the usb stick that my other 2 worked with, infact I tried 2 other usb sticks with it and got same error - only till I dug out an old usb multicard reader and stuck PUP on SD card did it work.... Guess that PS3 is a temperamental old girl... |

.... just make sure its 3.55 game.

tried from game disk, same problem. In XMB it always can copy the data to the hard disk but during installation @ 23% the error is given. Swapt hard disk form old PS3 but problem stays...

you need to put it to service mode and downgrade again(check with minverchk your ps3 base firmware). after that exit service mode and upgrade to 3.15, after that to 3.55 (just for safety). it should work. worked for me over 1 year ago.

still not able to update
this is what I tried: - update with real bought game MW2 (version 3.01) error 8002F147 - formatted another harddisk and tried updating trough usb stick in service mode but didn't work - did the minverck but gave no difference. anybody else got some idea's? |

Check all your connections inside ps3 maybe thats the issue my cecha01 refused to install 3.55 ofw awhile back found out i had a faulty daughterboard

i had the similar problem this past week
my nand was corrupted i was on 4.20 ofw, n with the help of e3 flasher i was able to downgrade so i downgraded it to 3.55 n everything is ok for now
