Question regarding 4.25 and e3 card reader
Hi,
So I have an old fattie and it was previously running 3.41 using my e3 card reader (downgraded from 3.50). I got impatient.. i wanted to play Arkham City... so i upgraded and have continued to upgrade up to the latest revision 4.25. Its been nice, had some good PSN moments but now i would like to see if I can bring the firmware back down to 3.55, I still have my e3 Card reader, is the method still workable? also what do people mean when they're talking about 'DEX' and 'CEX'? I haven't been around the scene for a year or so, lots of new slang being thrown about... |

CEX = retail firmware
MFW/CFW = modified or custom firmware (aka rebug/kmeaw/rogero etc) DEX = debug firmware SEX = Kiosk firmware u need a hardware flasher to downgrade . whats your ps3 model it says om the back ? eg CECHGxx

yeah I was just reading up on DEX etc. I'm not sure what the model is , its an old 40gb and its been done before so I know its capable, was just wondering if it could be done using just the e3 card reader?

progskeet for nand ps3 e3flasher for nor ps3 i guess your ps3 would be a nand if its 40gb ps3 . but u would need to know the model code from the back to make sure which hardware flasher u would need
