Anyway on another level..this exploit was to enable psp games on the vita...is it such a loss that we can for now anyway not do this? I still have my psp if I really wanted to play games via this method.

Or can this exploit do something else?

Coldbirds an ego seaker thats all it is. Nothing personal...hes not the first dev like that. Think of it.

Devs who don't care about there ego and don't want there work leaked, wont get there work leaked. Believe it or not...its as simple as that. They wont share, they wont give it out for "testing"...they are good enough and confident in their own work to test it themselves and reap the personal glory. The devs that no one knows about are the best devs out there. They may not be part of the scene but they know what they are doing and they are good at it and don't care about what people think of them therefore don't bother to make themselves known to the scene. To them its not about what the scene thinks of them or getting praise from the scene its just the personal glory of it.

For instance, is it so hard to believe that there aren't devs that no one knows about that are running 4.25 CFW and possibly with PSN aswell? Those are the devs that have a right to hide behind the "I dont owe the scene anything its my personal hobby/work" card, because they truly kept it to themselves.

I mean, its the internet. Devs like coldbird surely should know by now from all the leaks since the beginning of online began, how easy leaks happen so wouldn't they know by now not to give any work that they don't want leaked to anyone?

this is old, also Total_Noob just released a TN-A CFE for 1.81, also he mention that coldbird got access to his exploit from a trusted person... that trusted person is wololo... so thats how things got leaked

without the leakers there would be nothing because these so called dev's would release nothing just so they can keep there elite status or come out with a redrm dongle so they can profit of a crime. do you think the wii suffered when it was cracked in a day? hell no. these dev's only use that as an excuse to say they got something but won't release it because it would hurt sony's sales. what bull****.

Entitlement issues like that are the reason why a lot of old sceners don't care about sharing anymore. This "community" constantly bites the hand that feeds it, then wonders why nobody cares anymore. You're a demanding, hard to please bunch, that is so quick to turn on someone that does something you, personally, may not like.

Some unpopular facts:
a) Just because someone works on/for something which a community has been established around, doesn't mean they are doing it for the community, or even want to be a part of it;
b) Same as above, only replace "community" with "scene"
c) Just because the community/scene demands/wants it, doesn't mean they are entitled to get it.

And that's the bottom line.

Say's you. Do you think it is all right for a so called dev to come out with a redrm dongle to profit off a crime? if these so called dev's want to not share there work with the world thats fine theres lots of people out there that will but we don't need these so called dev's posting that they have something but won't release it for one reason or another. But this is old and it is so typical of the ps3/psp scene. I praise these leakers and I hope there will be more to come because these so call dev's only believe in money and not freedom of information and helping everyone to truly own there bought and paid for toy's.
