Hi, Just brought a friend just brough new Ps3 in India costing 19 thousand six hundred Indian rupees that's more than my 1 month's salary haha now we wish to play some games but the games are expensive too mortal kombat is of 3 thousand 500 rupees.
How can we play pirated games without voiding our hardware and PSN warranty.

We are just new to everything can someone guide us.

If you just bought your PS3 and it cant be downgraded or you cant afford games, this is the best thing to do:

No one will help you pirate games. If I were you I would hope it's on Official Firmware 3.55 though. If it is above 3.55 the only way to get it to run code not approved by Sony is to get it on 3.55.

Jailbreaking technically voids warranty, if discovered.

If your PS3 can be jailbroken it is going to cost you £40-50+ (no idea what that is in your money) to get a flasher, and another £10-20 or so to get a FSM dongle....

Check if your PS3 can be jailbroken by running MINVERCHECK (in my sig below) on your PS3 (you will need a USB flash drive or HDD to run it.

If it reports back <3.55 you are GOLDEN. If it reports back higher than 3.55 you are out of luck, and chances are if you just bought one new as your title says, you are SOL.

If I were you I would give up, or save up.

But don't be a blatant pirate.

we can buy some original disks for the time being and play we will see if someone sells old games at cheaper rate on ebay, I was in an opinion that much like ps2 where a swap disk could allow you to run any game similar thing would have been with ps3.

How do you guys play games do I need to download games to the hard disk from the PSN

Also, a new PS3 model will ship with the latest firmware that was available at the time mass production started, which is at least 1 month before release.

They're not going to update all PS3's already manufactured that are waiting to be shipped to retailers.
