Hey everyone me and my friend have seen alot of modding in both world at war and black ops and i have searched just about everywhere for info on this and i have found a few things such as, need to bypass firmware, need a usb; however i have not yet found any info on the actual process of installing the mods or how they need to be formated before installing them onto the ps3.

I know on some of these mods you do not need a hacked ps3, given that these other people are playing online. my ps3 is currently on fw 4.25 is there anyone who can give me some info on these mods?

*My goal is to have some mods installed on call of duty world at war by the end of the day so me and my friends can host a private modded lobby.

Some mods for black ops can be done with a save resigned to your profile.Ur gonna need xploder or game genie.
Call of duty world at war the update patch needs modded files,Ur gonna need a CFW for any decent mods.
Mw2 and cod 4 can be done by editing the the sp or mp data in your save data not that great either,a Cfw will give you better mods

Is it still possible to play online though if i have a cfw ps3? I have been to so many forums where people tell me that I will never be able to play online again if I hack my ps3. So im wondering how can I mod COD W@W and play online still? Ive seen this done everyday when I play online matches.

Do you know of any tutorials for these methods? and for these methods would I need cfw?

I do plan on getting a cfw console in the future, It has just been hard to track down a progskeet crystal blue v1.1

I am really interested on this too. Getting a ps3 took me a lot of time and effort and hacking it scares me XD if there is a way to mod black ops on a ps3 running OFW that would be great

You should try this. It has never failed me.
I used to know nothing about the PS3, but after using that link, I can do all sorts of stuff I didn't think was possible.

hahaha I love the link, but I have searched high and low and i usually end up with dead ends, fakes, or unsupported software.

And why would I continue to waste time using google if I'm a member of this awesome site and people here can actually help me? *wouldnt that defeat the purpose of the forum? haha

But thank you Playerkp420 for the tip Google is always the first place I go and I have already recieved all the info i can from Google, yahoo answers, youtube, ask.com, (xbox and pc mod sites) survey pages etc. I want some help from people who have done this and can give me some legitimate info on this process.

Jtags are Xbox 360. You're in the "Playstation 3 Hacks and Mods" section. I haven't played either game in forever. Is it possible for LAN or some way to connect just 2 or more PS3's together?
