The Internet Police see that the chart states 8.45 million PS3 versus 1.6 million 360.

Japan hates the 360.

Many game shops in our Japan office do not even carry it. Those that do pay the price.

Ummm did you look at that sheet? Xbox is not doing so great in Japan. Alot of that number came from a boost in sales from the FF13 release.

Also it should be no surprise that Sony will continue support into the next console's life cycle. They did so with PS1 and PS2. The only thing they abandoned was the PSP.

Still @BobbyBlunt i don't believe fully on the chart i have some friend on Japan (remember my roots) and Xbox360 is a big hit there but for a reason of space because some of my friend lives in tiny houses they go to portable but if they can afford and Xbox360 they bought it and the re-sell them.

I agree with the comment about portability, but 360 does very poorly in Japan. Microsoft has been looking for ways to sell more consoles in that region, but a US company isn't going to beat out 2 Japanese companies. RPGs help (like FF13 did).
