Proper Heatgun Temps?

Majority of my question is within the title of this thread but its referring to YLOD and GLOD fixes.

Here is a quote from this guide:
First of all, a heat gun with adjustable heat, which will be set to 350 c°, and if you can control fan speed turn
it to low

My heatgun has two settings, Low was around 250C and High is around 350C.

I've fix one PS3 and my PC's graphics card serveral times.

I start off using Low, just to heat up the board on both sides, stick to Low for a few minutes bringing in the nozzle closer to the chip then moving away.
Then I use the High setting for a while, but taking the nozzle further away, but every now and again bring the nozzle close to the chip for like a second then away again, wait a few seconds then back in again. So I do that now and again.
Then back to Low to finish it off.

Just realise that not all heat guns have the same temp settings, you can can one that does 600C or more, which is too high for electronic boards I believe :P
