Thank's for the guide Baily.

I am not real clear on the remarry.
Does downgrading always result in the NEED to remarry the drive ?
And in fat ps3's is Blurray movie playback sacrificed as a result of the downgrade/remarry ?

Guys,

A noob question:

My PS3 firmware is 4.25. If I downgrade the firmware (obviously using a flasher), will my game saves be erased after the downgrade process?

Thanks in advance.

Question

Lets say I downgraded , everything went well , and then I reupdated to 4.25 again , will it be like Normal update or something will be messed in the ps3 ?

And one more thing , is there a specific ps3 types that 100% will loose the bluray playback ? Or has to do with the steps of downgrade ?

yes
when you have changed the bdvd board

i also believe that if you played the most up to date bdvd film before you downgraded that you wont get film playback untill you spoof the firmware to the one you were on (ie 4.25) then do the re-marry again and when it boots you back the the xmb while still in fsm (red box on screen) you need to play that bdvd again.

but i really need to know everyons personal expeince with this including there system details to know 100% what works and what doesnt work

So bdvd is the only affected thing when downgrading. ? Anything else?
And does it get fixed when updating to latest FW?

if you re-flash your origional dump and your bdvd worked before the downgrade then it should work as before.

if you update by using firmware updates then i cannot say.
i would have to rescearch the matter in the wiki.

there is no other issues with downgrading aslong as you dont forget to de-hash.

QA toggle is a PKG, install it from the install packages option on 3.55 CFW.
