from what i read i can tell that on firmwares above 3.55 you will need their dongle to downgrade and then you may install their CFW 4.21 but i may be wrong:"

Yep sure do.. DEX anyway, I imagine it would be the same for CEX.
And there's definitely ways for them to stop flashers. The results of this brick are a nasty syscon brick.. unless someone has a syscon flasher (they dont) youre up the creek!

Yes but if they (s0ny) does this its gonna piss of hacker like back when we lost otheros, pissed of the hackers and shortly after 3.55ofw get nailed to the cross!

Wait, are you saying that with the next dex firmware you won't be able to downgrade to 3.55 dex anymore?

Because that would be VERY bad news.

So you have your hands on DEX 4.30 FW, but it hasn't been released yet?...

Or someone you know has 4.30 DEX FW and cant release it.... because it could plug up the ability for us to use DEX?
