1. Unless you develop software. Shut the **** up. Seriously, its not your place to criticize somebody else for being upset that this happened. Alot of hard work and time goes into something they usually arent paid to do. Reverse engineering is pretty much the **** job of programming. Having to study undocumented Assembly all day trying to make sense of machine instructions ****ing sucks, but its a labor of love to those of us willing to do it.

2. There may be people out there with CFW on their PS3s, xbox360s, vitas ect. You not knowing about them means the intention was to never release it because you knowing means Sony finds out and is able to patch it. Also this project wouldnt have had debuggers to test the cfw if it wasnt intended to be released. So quit saying this wasnt designed with the intentions of being released. You only have people debug software you plan to distribute. It would destroy a dev's reputation and humiliate him if he released a CFW that bricked thousands of people's devices.

Like stated before, it was no good to leak this in it's current state. The only 2 things that are useful in that leak are the exploits used. And you bet that they will be patched as fast as you can read this post. The game exploit isn't that bad, although the number of games to be exploited shrinks. But the kernel exploit is something to cherish. Those are more valuable. Sadly, now both are given in the hands of Sony.

If someone wants to keep the information for himself then I can understand that it gets leaked. But such a leak should only happen if it's the right time for it. Not saying that this information wouldn't have been released. We'll never know now will we?

@libretro Thank you, You have said everything I have been thinking about the "Sony Scene". It does seem just like between the ps3 and Vita scenes, Sony walks on water. No matter how much they take away someone always makes excuses. Saying piracy is the reason we haven't done this or that. That is complete BS the 360 is wide open piracy and homebrew and same with the Wii and the DS. Homebrew and piracy go hand and hand, There is no way to have one without the other.
