couple of years back i used kmeaw cfw.
i was out of he scene for a long long time

ive now downgraded to 3.55 ofw after using 4.25 9(using e3 flasher).
which is the best choice for cfw today?
what is a dex fw?

i would appreciate links as well

Rogero 3.55 v3.6 CFW is the best IMHO, it's basically KMEAW evolved: http://www.ps3devwiki.com/files/firm...EX/Downgrader/

Dex = debug FW you can convert your PS3 from 3.55 CEX to 3.55 or higher (up to 4.21) DEX quite easily: http://www.ps3hax.net/showthread.php?t=40898

I have a downgraded console running Rogero 3.4. With a previous downgraded console of mine I updated to kmeaw and the console bricked,now I'm weary of installing CFW to my current downgraded console.Can I install Rogero 3.6 on the console running 3.4, without running the risk of a brick?Thanx

You bricked, because you didn't finish the downgrade process. It is not done until you do dehashing.

It is fine to update to Rogero v3.6 from v3.4. Since Rogero has the checks removed.
But I would still suggest dehashing first. So it will be safe to install any OFW/CFW.

Make sure to dehash to avoid bricking between FW changes on a downgraded console.

can i use psn with a dex 4.25?
what are the chances that 4.25 dex wil show up?

I did not do any of the downgrades myself.Had it done by someone in Cape Town.
Anyway,since there is a risk I will rather just get the 4.25 spoofer,coz thats basically what I'm after..want to use the tv app and some MM plugins,but I dont want to run the risk of an accidental update...once bitten forever scared....

Rogero v3.6 is an update to v3.4 (v3.5 being the unstable POC firmware)

Do you recommend Rogero 3.55 v3.6 CFW over Rebug?

If you need to have a million options, go for rebug, if you want to keep it clean go for rogero

Rebug has a lot of things built in that (for me) wasn't necessary. KMEAW was perfect, did everything I needed and was clean. Rogero took KMEAW and basically updated it.

Rogero is even more recently updated compared to rebug.

I would go Rogero 3.55 v3.6 any day.
