No, I had the OFW 3.55 stored in my local computer, that I had downloaded back in the day from SONY's servers.

Maybe I was wrong... Any solutions
if this is a downgraded console it may have allready been QA flaged and you just re-set it.

or when there was all the hype over the QA you might have tried it but then forgot like many of us did.

always check if the combo doesnt work then run the token again and check again.

You're right. The guy who did the downgrade service to me had it set.
So, most likely I've turn it off when I re-set it again.
So I guess there's no way to get out of this mess without a hardware flasher, is there?

ok as it isnt flashing the red light then it isnt a de-hash fail so it was allready de-hashed.

it sounds like either
1.the 3.55 ofw was corrupt
2. more likely the usb stick you used needed formating fully before you put the 3.55 ofw on it

although with both ways the ps3 should have given you an error code but it hasn't so something else has happened

i dont know what but i am sure if the NOR / NAND is re-flashed (or dumped and patched then flashed) then it should bring it back.

but with it not flashing red like a normal de-hash fail then it still might not fix it.

---------------------------------------------------------------------
lets try removing your hdd and boot the ps3 with out it in then put it back and boot it again

let me know if that did anything

[Edit] Correction: The Ps3 boots green and then goes to blank like if power were cut off.
To turn it on again, I press the power button again and stays solid red and then, if I turn it on, it goes back to blank like the power were cut off.
It is a PS3 Slim 320 Gb by the way.
I've tried taking the HDD off and boot it, but it's still the same.

with the installation of 3.55 OFW through recovery menu, and that's what I did.

it just stays on for a few seconds and then shuts off automatically.
Any ideas to what I can do now?

PS: I can't enter recovery mode either.
Maybe you can go in service mode, but I wouldn't know what to do after as i've only used that for remarrying blu rays.

I don't have a hardware flasher to put it in Service Mode.
The downgrade process was made by somebody else.

ok this fault i have had with the E3 i did for the guide.
unfortunatly i had to re-flash to get it working again and it was a bad f/w update due to a bad usb stick.
