yes mate all working was in my cechg03 that model comes with 2 types of laser there is a dual type and a single this is the single type laser and has been very reliable.

Oh ok thanks, but i'm on cechg01 and i'm not sure those 2 are compatiable for remarry.

i havent followed any of the dex convertions that are around. is there any threads that mention the dex Bdemu in detail that you know of that i could start reading?

Hey hax, thought i'd post my question on this thread, because i thought if its related, best to recycle a thread, rather than creating one, which only needs like a one sentence answer.
Q - What is the metal cover for the PCB BD board called? I'm in need of one at the moment for one of my PS3's and just cannot get the name of it lol. Although some PS3's vary dont they, with the plastic ones, but im in need of the metal one with the covering screws.

lol its been a mission trying to discover the name of it, typing in 'PCB BD board metal cover & screws' just about everywhere and 0 results lol.
