and yes fat 32 but un tick the fast format box this way it formats the entire stick.
but without a fsm dongle this wont help you now.

the dongle may not work.

i had this happen to me while i was doing the E3 guide and i just re-flashed to fix it.

if you allready had a dongle then i was just wanting you to try it to see if it will enter fsm. as i didnt think to try it and it "might" work

if you know anyone who has one then try it otherwise i would consider getting it re-flashed or if you have a NOR console then consider the TEENSY++ as you can both flash with it and use it as a fsm dongle

so if the fsm wont work then atleast you havent wasted your money and you can then dump re-patch and re-flash it yourself

@vanpeli The problem shown on the video was EXACTLY the one your friend was experiencing?
My PS3 reacts to any USB sticks I throw at it (the lights on the USBs turn on).
So I'm wondering if a downgrade dongle will work and put my PS3 in factory service mode.
Hence my question if the problem your friend was experiencing was exactly the same.
I'm ordering a PS3KEY today and tomorrow I will already know if my PS3 can enter FSM.
Also @baileyscream what do you think of the reaction of the PS3 to standard USBs?
Do you think my PS3 will enter factory service mode with the dongle?
