Yes I'm still getting the same error. Should I try to flash the third backup? Could it be that the chips aren't making contact with the heat sink?

If the heat sinks were not making good contact, the ps3 would either Ylod or glod. And you would be able to still flash the downgrade.bin or the patched bios.

I think the clip is not secure, so when you are flashing, the e3 thinks it is not a supported metldr.

OK, I re-seated the clip. I tried to reflash the original bios back on and I got error 10001111. Could this be the problem:

That could be the problem. Those points should not be bridged.

I un-bridged the points and tried to reflash my original bios back on. This time it went further. It got to the 5th light and then gave me the 10001111 error. Right now I am going to try to take it apart again and try to clean the contact points. This is unbelievable, the company I ordered this from first sent me a ripped clip and when they sent me a replacement, the points are bridged!
UPDATE: I managed to get rid of the 10001111 error, but I am still getting the black screen. Here is the log file for when I was re-flashing the original bios: http://www.mediafire.com/?n6neh1t64qu6xx0
Also still getting: metldr not supported.

I forgot to mention that I had RSOD before, if that makes a difference.

You have checked to make sure your e3 flasher is not a clone right? Check here.

If it is not a clone, either you have damaged the ribbon, one of the tiny pins are bent, or simply the clip is not flush to the mobo.

I checked if it's a clone and it isn't. I checked the ribbon cable and it's all fine. After I apply the clip I keep getting 10001100 error.

I had that problem as well.....you will need to apply constant pressure on the clip for it to work properly. I ended up having to tape a quarter, 4 pennies, and some of the foam from the E3 flasher box packing so that it would keep enough pressure on it to make a good connection.

Thanks for the reply. I applied a thick layer of foam on top of it and it's still not working I keep getting 10001100 error. In the log file it says: failed to initialize bios. I made sure that the clip was flush with the motherboard and I applied pressure to it, but it's still not working. This is very frustrating.
