hi guys. I tried to dehash my PS3 after downgrading with the E3 flasher using the fsm way but after i' ve done it I got RED flashing light on PS3!! My PS3 hasn' t got blueray working so I couldn't run homebrew on it to dehash with QA-flag and I had to install the modified fw through fsm. Now what should I do?? Should I repair my PS3 as one that has YLOD? thanks for ur reply

you have a de-hash fail
you need to earth the tristate point on the ps3 to gnd then the ps3 will halt on boot up.
then do the guide again from step (installing the downgrade patch)
donot do the service mode de-hash. wait untill you get your drive working and do the QA way.

if you find the "trist" or "tristate" point and a "gnd" point on your board (goto ps3devwiki and search for your board ) or go HERE and download the progskeet diagrams and find your board and all the test points are marked up.
find the above and solder a wire from gnd to tristate then power up your ps3 and it wont shut off it will just stop booting and "halt"

this then lets you re-do the steps from where i said in my prev post.

1. have you installed the driver <<<go into device manager and "update" the driver of the "unknown device" directing it to the driver folder in the progskeet folder

2. are you using the same usb port on your pc that you used when you installed the progskeet? << if no then the driver needs installing to the new usb port (see above)

3. have you restarted your pc? <<< sometimes a re-start solves these problems
