You also threw the thread into an off topic discussion, if you have a problem with the way the forum is run or how news is posted, there is the sites Suggestion section. |

1) Maturity means full development. No matter how developed a child appears to be -- in whatever way -- they are far from being fully developed. 2) "This device is for humans, and women too", sounds silly, doesn't it? Women are covered by the term humans. In the same way as paralyzed people are covered by the term "disabled". No idea why I even bother. Last edited by psg; 10-13-2012 at 05:35 AM. |

You insulted yourself by being stupid, you started the argument by fail "constructive criticism", you attacked instead of using your brain, you stated problems that did not exist, you were wrong, you got corrected, now you are continuing to throw the thread off topic, with your immature childish strop.

@GregoryRasputin
wow sometimes I wish we were allowed to give more than 1 like
![]() Thanks for posting this..... some of us are here to read out of enjoyment, and to gain knowledge. This is the internet and I don't think any of us logged into an English class, I think we logged into PS3hax. By that ****ed up logic I guess it is cool to bash @hellsing9 since English is his second or third language and he doesn't always use it correctly. (Which royally pisses me off when people do that. Let me see you speak his native language as good as he does then get back to me) Maturity....maturity is posting your opinion on the discussion topic at hand instead of criticizing spelling and grammatical errors. Great I just did what I said mature people do not do..... oh well at least I am mature enough to know that everyone, regardless of age can be immature at times. Oh and saying a child can't be mature is hilarious. It all comes down to what criteria do you believe it takes to consider a person a child? My cousin dropped out of school at 16 years old and got a full time job to take care of his disabled mother and the household he was living in. Does that make him mature, or a child? I believe at 16 he was still a child, but he made the responsible adult decision because if he hadn't then he would not have a place to live, food to eat, clothing on his back, or any other thing that most of us take for granted all at the expense of his education (which he did obtain later.) So there is an example of a mature child. I have met children in their 20s on the internet. I have also met men in their teenage years. You can say children aren't mature, but I can put my daughter on here and she can show you that children can be mature.....although I am mature enough to realize that the internet is no place for a child unless a parent is capable of monitoring the child's activity. You wouldn't want me to put my daughter on here, because you would be surprised at how dumb an 8 year old can make you feel at times. One day I might let her on her to take part in a discussion (while monitoring her of course) just to see how many of these so called "mature" people she can own in an intellectual conversation.

Well Sony just bought a 11% stake in Olympus, they are branching out into Medical technology. Could it have something to do with that.

A technology that would be good for those that are unfortunate enough to suffer from a potentially crippling disability would be the studies of brain waves that they are using for potential future prosthetic limbs and to help people communicate. The mind is a powerful thing. There are studies and prototypes of people being able to move prosthetic limbs just by thinking it. Could you imagine playing a game where you actually had to use nothing more than your mind to play? Better yet, can you imagine how some of the current gen games could be enhanced beyond our wildest dreams by using this type of technology? At this point it doesn't just become a different way for people to play games, it also becomes a tool. With this type of device you could reenact possible real life scenarios (like real military training, flight simulation, driving simulation, etc.)
Oh the future will be great especially with as far as we have come just in the past 150 years of human existence. Too bad we will not be around to see the even further advances that will be made in the next 150 years. Things like this can be used for so many things, and not just gaming. Say you strap a person into a mental flight simulator. You can tell what areas a person would need to work on just from thought reaction time. You can teach defensive driving with simulated crash scenarios that can create better drivers while also keeping a person safe. It will eventually lead to being able to help paraplegics walk, giving back limbs that may have been lost to do injury, infection, or birth defect. It will also help the mute be able to speak. The human mind is a powerful thing that has helped us better human life. You may say the devices are what do this, but without the power the human mind holds, none of what we knew, know now, or even imagine for the future would or will be possible. Just imagine what the world would be like if people didn't dream, have imagination, or lacked creativity. I can see stuff like this having much more benefit than just gaming, but if it helps a child to smile because they are having fun playing a game, or enjoying an activity that normally they were physically incapable of enjoying, even though they have no reason to smile or be happy because of the hand life dealt them, then I say the ultimate goal was accomplished.
