YLOD is cracked solder balls under the GPU.
GLOD is either a died out RSX Chip(you'll need one reballed on) or its the same thing as YLOD with cracked solder balls.
It is always recommended to reflow first and see if it is fixable and then getting a reball after reflowing.

YLOD can be many different things.

Code:
YLOD

YLOD - Yellow Led of Death (Flashes Green, Yellow then Red)

Failure in the hardware_init stage. Suspects: RSX, CELL BE, XDR Ram, GDDR Vram, Syscon, South Bridge , Starship2 (if NAND SKU), NAND/NOR Flash, Power Supply, Fuses, Regulators, Cooling/Fan

If you ground out tristate on a console with YLOD, it would GLOD instead if it is caused by bad flash. This makes it an easy way to check if the YLOD is flash caused (most common) or RSX caused (second most common).

@playerkp420 thanks for that. More than likely it's almost always cracked solder balls. The bad flash is the first I've heard.

Yeah, the Ylod from the flash is like when you brick with e3 flasher. It acts like Ylod. Then when you solder the tristate wire it stays on like glod, so you can use flash fun mode to fix it.
