I recently found out what appeared to me as the YLOD it wasn't. I just have bad wiring issues since my PS3 may have been dropped slightly to cause incorrect movement of the the wires to affect the console's power supply.

I just want to know before I purchase anything are these the correct components for the basic fix.

-16 gauge copper (none. insulated)
-Article Silver thermal compound
-Compressed Air Duster
-Electronic grease

Also can somebody provide me with images to the items on the list so that I can have something to reference by and compare to.

?? what wires do you think have moved?

and if your thinking of removing the internal heat shild of the gpu then you need thermal glue to fix it back on with.

a drop has probably cracked the solder under the cpu / gpu so a short term (1-2 months at best) fix is to re-flow but a long term(1-2 year at minimum) solution is to re-ball

@baileyscream My bad for being vague, but the wires I'm referring to are the ones that help boots the system internally not the external ones. I just need clarification that 16 gauge copper wires none insulated wires will do the job or I need something else.

do you meen from inside the actual power block or the white wires that come out of it?

You may just want to get a new PSU.

they connect at each side so you can just swap them if there dammaged
or plug it back in if its come out?

i'm sorry if i'm missing something but without actually seeing what the problem is makes this harder lol

Better idea, Get a voltage meter and see where the power is stopping.
