@Sarah1331 hmm i have a feeling thats not your name your g/f maybe?
anyway

READ ALL THIS REPLY BEFORE YOU START

ok i would personaly try the (erase) then try (flash) it now takes longer as your writing the whole NOR image back not just what the "patch" has changed

you will get error's at the verify part so just tell it to flash again then see if you get alot or every block fail the verify stage

if the above fails to work then try this

this is a way to un-brick

as you have done everything else then you may as well try this way.

1. unplug the ps3 from the mains (infact remove the mains cable compleatly)

2. bridge R7 so both R7 & R8 are now closed (bridged)

3. make sure 3.3v (or in the diagrams it may be VCC) on the progskeet is connected to VCC (or it may be called NOR VCC) on the ps3
the ps3's NOR will now get power from the progskeet via the 3.3v wire

DO NOT TURN ON THE PS3

4. plug in the progskeet and do a (dump cfi) if this fails or hangs then check your wires as this will only fail / hang if a wire is nos connected 100% (could be dead soldered)

DO NOT TURN ON THE PS3

5. flash the NOR (your wired for un-bricking so this takes a lot longer to compleate. you may think it's froze right at the start but make a cup of tea it should start by the time the kettel boils (best way to time a possible freeze)

take your time & good luck

yes
you will need a multimeter to trace the pins to the solder pads on the progskeet to check it's marked up correctly

its a good way to do it as its really easy to swap any wires that may be soldered wrong

as long as you have QA flaged the cfw then you can change the firmware
just boot up the 3.55cfw and update via the internal storage option in the xmb
its recomended to go to 3.55ofw then to 3.55cfw to stop you having any problems.

Oh ok. I thought I had to install a different CFW via recovery.
I will try that instead. Thanks for the reply.

Condor updater - http://www.ps3hax.net/2012/03/releas...-updater-v1-0/

Basically a pseudo recovery, without actually having to do all button presses on the PS3.

playerkp420 has it listed in his tutorial as well.

at "Finishing the down grade in service mode" I got the same screen as in the picture,
but I connected the ps3 controller and got another message that harddrive is "something" and upgrade to 3.70 and reformat the harddrive"

I afterward unplugged the powersource ( not the cable. I open up my ps3 and unplugged the entire powercurcit ) and now there is no power at all.

What can be done? Plzzzzz help....

My question is, what can you DO with this CFW? Besides back-up games and stuff?

Ok thanks again

Rewired again all ok I can post pics If you want

With r7 open and console plugged in I get CFI I have fc the one I originally got when I dumped the console and got 8 good dumps and there the same

With r7 and console not plugged in I get doesn't start with qry

With r7 open and pluged in I flash and it adds lots of fffffffff (I read it back to see what just written)

With R7 closed It just hangs forever

When I erase with r7 open and plugged in it comes back as nothing but ff ff ff ff

When I erase with r7 closed it just hangs (even if I make two cups of tea)

When I flash it's like it's not flashing all the 00 they stay as ff's I have tested for shorts all over with multimeter and scopes

When I flash on static timing it hangs but when I read Nor where it hung it flashed correct to that point

is this the multimeter youre meaning?

but the thing worrying me is that they sent me message saying:

Like you read PROSGKEET don't support anymore officially NOR / NAND CLIPS.
However progskeet 1.2 is able to work with NAND CLIPS.
Important to know is that PROGSKEET V1.2 loose the compatibility with NOR CLIP, to optimize the design we changed the PINOUT of the ZIF 50 pin connectors and soon we will present a nice QSB BOARD to attach to it.
So please write on NOR CLIP if you have in stock and you sell them that is NOT COMPATIBLE WITH PROGSKEET V1.2

so i dont know if it will be compitable..
