Installing linux without formatting hdd
is there a way to install linux without formatting hdd ? i don´t want to lose everything i have on my system.

Just find another/buy a small capacity hard drive. I have 2 hard drives for each of my PS3s. It especially came in handy for Debug conversion. I got my Rebug firmware on one hard drive with my music, films and React PSN games and a small hard drive that I used for the conversion.... and for anyone wondering, yes the Rebug hard drive boots up just fine when I switch out hard drives on the Debug. I havent bothered trying out the Debug settings on the Rebug hard drive yet though.

Install it on a USB stick. Slow as hell compared to internal but your internal HDD won't be formatted
