Cech-2003b. alternative IC chip. e3 flasher downgrade 4.11

Although not to downgrading, but a newbie to e3 flashing I am having some problems with my damn e3 flasher.

I have the alternative IC chip as in the picture below. I have attached the e3 clip according to the same exact specs. the e3 flasher does take the firmware upgrade nicely.

However the B*****dious problem lies in creating the dump.

Reason being it gives me this code

1 0 0 0 1 1 0 0 Failed to initialize PS3 BIOS Check pads / clip at PS3 board check may not be properly seated.

Now i have opened my ps3 it's lying in front of me naked this piece of s*** with the e3 attached to. anyway having redone the clip about 2 times it's still giving the same crap error code. I can play games with BD fine, just not letting do a damn dump

Anyone else had the same problem, any solution should I throw e3 flasher out of the window or should I hard solder it on?

any help much appreciated

have a really close look and see if there are any compoments on the board that are touching or preventing the clip from sitting flush.

if there are any touching or under the clip then the clip needs these areas carefully scraping or file the areas on the clip so it will sit flush
you also need to apply presher to the clip ie with a clamp (plastic quick clamp from a pound / dollar shop or diy shop) then try again

About as helpful as your post mate by the looks of it. Although we can't help with the actual problem, to bump the guys thread and increase the chances of somebody with actual knowledge noticing it and providing assistance to the OP, we are doing all we possibly can to help.

As an aside, no need to be rude.

I'm not saying you shouldn't reply mate. Maybe just try and not be so precious about what others post. Or as rude. Peace out.
