ok people u telling him to by a dongle to remarry the drive but erm he dont even know what fw he is on . he could be on 3.55 or under which would be ok , but he could be on 3.56 and above which mean the dongle would be useless without a hardware flasher .
@orthjr got 2 option try using another hdd or format the hdd to kick it out of update loop. once u got it out of a update loop, then look and see what fw your ps3 is on . and post it here then we can see what your options are from there
