Nintendo fans got that for two generations solid with the n64 and gamecube. The loserkids crapping on about Nintendo should just just give up on hardware... just because sega did the same.

The vita needs its own games. Games that make vita ownership necessary. Sony has a buoyant product with the ps3. They just need to quit imitating others and do their own thing. Everybody is trying to imitate one or two styles of game, and there isn't a whole lot of choice out there anymore. I know I'd kill for more collectathon platformers, and old school resi survival horror game... complete with prerendered rooms, fixed camera angles etc etc.

Sony's offerings this E3 were arguably more exciting than microsofts.

I don't think any games company bar Nintendo gets this. Cater for those who aren't being catered to.

I'm happy with the same Nintendo+Sony+PC combo that I've rocked since N64 and PS1. I've always gotten to play every game I wanted to.

Sony aren't going anywhere. But I'm also not expecting new sony or microsoft consoles as soon as everyone else is expecting them. Sony need time to prepare a launch lineup... and Microsoft need to work on testing something that won't break en masse.

I made an xbox 360 magazine editor look like a moron on twitter for pointing out this obvious fact. He claimed that he'll be playing a new xbox by christmas 2013.

Oh gosh, that article on this forum? The homebrew lovers -- especially the ones that jumped onto DEX, where they can't (or couldn't) run homebrew, as soon as they could -- will not agree.

Hear, hear! This Generation, to be a happy gamer, all you need is a PC, a PS3, and a DS. Not sure if the 3DS has taken over the DS yet, but judging by the terrible launch, and the rather slow sales, I would gather "no".

Rather slow sales? Um... care to go and check that?

Search 3ds sales records.

The wii didn't have a huge amount to offer (I finished skyward sword on it. thats it. I HATED the controls and playing in SD killed it even worse.) but the 3ds has been fantastic. OOT remake, kingdom hearts, resident evil revelations, MK7, The mario games... all have been brilliant. I'm dying for the new castle of illusion sequel thats out soon, and luigis mansion 2, and the new paper mario.

Terrible launch yeah, but since Zelda came out, I've been happy as a clam. I even traded up to an XL. Yeah, I wish the screen was higher res, but it's a powerful console. Resident evil revelations was 1000x better than RE6. And it just about matched RE5's graphics.

I keep the 3d off mostly though. it's a cool feature. but hardly gamings next big thing.

What's the big deal with the 3DS? Maybe it's not for me and I'm perfectly fine with that. I suppose Nintendo wasn't targeting my demographic but I do have a number of problems with it.

$40 for revamped Nintendo 64 games... Ten-year-old games for $40 that have campaigns less than 10 hours. They didn't even add online multiplayer to most of these "remakes," if you could call them that.

As for MK7 and the plethora of Mario titles, to me they are all the same. If you've played one them you've played them all.

Kingdom Hearts and Resident Evil (2 games) do not justify the purchase of a 3DS to me. Plus it doesn't have a second analog stick and if you want a second one, you need to buy that add-on that requires a triple-a battery like this is 1995.

It doesn't seem worth it.
