Yeah that's a good idea but I already tried yesterday with my ps3 converted back to cex. Nothing happened. The cex dex kit in its current form seems unable to write to a ps3.

Do you or does anyone know someone that got their machines converted using this method from the original author that stated that he would generate and give the needed "request_idps.txt" file? If so, then we should have them compare files and see what differences there are. Encrypted or not, it would at least let us know if this IDPS generator truly works or not. What do you think @butnut ?

Furthermore I shouldn't have to go into full on details on how the OJ suite method works as there is PLENTY of information on how its all done so youll have to manage wiht my short answers and take it at face value if I say it works that way it works that way. I am not going go lead you in the wrong direction because im nothing like math, I personally can care less if your in the same sandbox playing with all the same toys
I would love to see more people step up and produce awesome work for the PS3 but thats asking alot...

If people aren't willing to put in the time and effort and research the hell out of this stuff they will never learn, dont get me wrong I love to help when I can but I will never spoon feed anyone. Its as simple as you getting in contact with me on irc if you want help with something your working on and if I have answers for you you'll get them

I have one in my DL folder that is 182kb

The one in the cex dex kit is 192kb


Edit: I just tried with the 182kb file, OJ Suites said pass then fail and my flash dump is the same as it was before.

I didn't know that anyone could be "spoon feed", I thought it was "Spoon fed"? So why couldn't you have said this before? It wouldn't have made you seem like Math in the first place. I have done all the work I need to and have read and learned on my own, don't lump me into the same category as those that really do expect everything to happen magically with one .PKG file. And I have said nothing about the "short answers" bit, read and direct that comment to the correct person please.

As many disappointments that has transpired, it is hard to take what you have to say as "Face value" due to the fact that you seemed to be upset at the mere fact that the CEX-DEX leak occurred, which leads me to believe that your intents are with malice and/or there is an alternative scheme I.E. money making conspiracy. One way of showing your worth is to not give us a lesson in ObjSuites, but to help confirm if what is going on here will actually lead to a true convert or not, that's why I said this.

Dude, have you not read anything that I had to say to @butnut ? I did the first linux conversion and researched the HELL out of it before I did anything to my PS3. If you are going to try to make someone out to be a bad guy or an idiot, make sure you have done your homework, otherwise it just seems you are trying to justify yourself and your actions with dis-information.

I can understand about the newborn, and people have lives outside of this forum and the PS3 and hacking, but don't throw a fit about something and then turn around and try to help out, that what Math does and that's why I have accused you so.

If you have proof of the contrary, please enlighten us and I won't have to defend myself. Mods, please forgive one more time as I needed to try to explain myself as you can see.

This part you talked about "fixps3flash" i think its the normal Lv2diag.self that flash any PUP file while in service mode or maybe its a special version that does not need the FSM like the GitBrew Fix released before.

This is the part that made me crazy when i tried it.
This IP address not for PS3 but for your PC.
You must set your PC IP address to 192.168.0.100 and connect it directly to your PS3 also set your PS3 IP to an automatic settings not manual settings.
