You can have more than 4 games. Not sure if tutorial here or not

You format hdd on PS3 in Dex under debug settings. Then use aldostools BdEmuPartitionTool to change partition size and can add more slots.
Then use ps3gen to create the .emu and its bdemu hdd utility to write the games to hdd.
I have 8 games on my hdd right now.

Fixed the link.. You need a thumbdrive to be able to dump the flash I think.
The rootkey goes to hdd0/temp, then copied to usb via multiman.

Nothing to do with being noob mate, just read carefully step by step and read it again; just to be sure.

I am also itchy to go for it aswell just for it being able to play RE6! lol. And all the other releases/fixes being released for DEX atm. I think i'll wait a little longer though, i have still some faith left in CFW 3.55 CEX.

Very nice..But can you add in what settings to turn on to play games..I think there is settings you have to turn on to run games ..i think i am right

There is a readme included with the Backup Tools

But here it is:

on debug setting (on your console)
Navigate to "Boot Mode" and select "Release Mode".
Below, in "Blu-ray Disc Access" select "BD Emulator (USB)".
And below, to use the maximum speed of your HDD, select "HDD Native".

Those settings are necessary to play your backups from an external hd. The external usb hd has to be configured by the software in the guide to play backups for dex ps3.

Another thing:
I'm on a downgraded ps3 with a cfw3.55 nocheck, i think, i have to dehashing the cfw to get a simple cfw 3.55 kmaew with checks.
Now i can install the qa toggle, without the need of the "otheros special pup", and go ahead with the guide to convert the ps3 in a dex 3.55 and then a 4.21dex.
And with the other simple steps, go back to cex. Is that right?

Noob here.
I've got someone to downgrade my Slim to 3.55ofw (using a flasher)
So once I have 3.55ofw, I will follow this to convert my console to dex.

Part 1 qa_Flagging is the dehashing right?
So straight after the person is finished downgrading to 3.55ofw, I can proceed to this tutorial?


I should after part 4 be able to go from 3.55Dex to 4.21 Dex by running 4.21Dex.PUP from xmb?

Then if I wanted to go back to 3.55dex I would simply run the downgrader from xmb?
and if I wanted to go back again to 4.21, simply run 4.21Dex.PUP from xmb again?
