uhhh, nice topic. But the thoughts are going the wrong way. You don't use bootldr to get the key for lv0 and think you're done. Also, bootldr decrypted is not console specific. It's the same bootldr in every PS3. Now encrypted is different.

I was talking about the bootldr keys being console specific since the pastie supposedly mention that we get those too but, yeah, decrypting the bootldr it's only the first step.
It would be great if one day we get a custom bootloader like the one for the wii.

I remember the signing exploit, but we still need to reverse engineer the bootldr when/if this works. That's a BIG if right now too.

Yeah, in the end we still need someone knowledgeable enough to test this supposed exploit.

This actually isn't a troll. You can get bootldr using this method. And why would you need a custom bootloader? Once you have bootldr, it's done.

Well, it's not really incomplete this time, we just need to figure out what to edit in lv0.self and then we need someone with a dual nand/nor to try it out and then IF it works just post the results.
