Hi PS3 hax members Plss help me i am supposed to be in Retail mode after i done the ps3 hdd format and not in Debug mode and i swear to god i never followed any cex to dex tutorial,,,but why my ps3 taking only DEX firmware update instead of retail firmware updates and i cant also update my ps3 with 3.55 sony original firmware
when i try to update in recovery mode i get again NO APPLICABLE UPDATE DATA WAS FOUND and in XMB an error message,its maybe because when i was in rebug and tried with rebug cex dex application to make my xmb debug but why as far as i know taking ps3 from cex to dex is not an easy task and how with rebug,, I will really really appreciate your help! and below is the link of the rebug cex dex selector picture

That does not convert your ps3 from cex2dex...

1st: check the fw path in the usb stick
it should be PS3/UPDATE/PS3UPDAT.PUP

2nd: check the pup's integrity... like md5 hash

3rd: how can your ps3 be acepting dex fw instead of cex fw? are you really sure of what you're trying to install?

4th: do you have a BR in the drive?

1.I'm sure made the fW path right,,otherwise i couldn't also update with dex firmware

2.Yeah i checked some of the KMEAW and sony Original md5 and its all right but doesn't work,i cant update!

do you think it happened cuse i messed up my ps3 with the REBUG CEX DEX application?
,maybe this the first time someone in the earth have this problem so thats why u maybe dont believe me

4.No there is no BR discs inside the blue ray drive


i wouldn't bother ps3 hax member if my ps3 could do what cex ps3 cud do i mean i cant install any sony official program also cant install any official game update,like TEKKEN6 1.03 i wanted playonline(PSon) yesterday i know that 1.03 works on 3.55 but when i try to install it gives me an error.

so any idea what i can do

Yes i can ,using the 3.55 downgrader. Yesterday i downgrade my ps3 from 4.20 dex to 3.55 dex peek poke cus i cant play multiman games on 4.20 dex..
and yeah why my ps3 always says update to 3.40 or later(even i was in 4.20 dex) in XMB update and also in recovery

Believe it or not i think i am also surprising what is happening to my PS3,,

sounds to me that you didn't mess anything up, you just made it a DEX.

thats normal my dex say that too but a even lower fw i can go to . u can gotto dex the same as factory fw . never tired it as there is no point going below 3.55
