No. Wait for a solution (which may never come) or: Buy another PS3 for OFW or buy a BD player.

He hasn't revoked anything.
It's the way AACS works. Don't have a new key? Tough. Disc won't play. Got a new key? Great, disc will play. It's a pretty ****ed up system to be honest. It's also why players have to have updateable firmware and/or access to the net so they can update when needed. Last edited by JonahUK; 10-22-2012 at 11:03 AM. |

http://www.ps3hax.net/showpost.php?p=455046&postcount=6 ![]() EDIT: ok I think we are talking about 2 different things here to the same end result. If he used to be able to play those discs on 3.55 CFW, and he somehow got a warning and now cant play them: I dont think he can reverse what he has done (could be wrong) If he has never been able to play those discs because they are too new: he cant just install a 3.55 file over the top of the old one, the discs will NEVER play on that machine dues to updated keys needed (unless someone figures out how to add new keys to old FW)

If it is not revoked, then how come all my blu ray just stop working but legal os3 game still load? I completely understand if the new one won't work but not old one unless key got revoke. And if it is the 18 month thing, then I won't be the only one with the issue since I am on 3.55. I want to at least restore my ability to play old blu ray. Of course if all else fail I will just buy a cheap standalone during black friday.

Because of the AACS routine, no new key no playback, period. Like I said, it's a ****ed up system.
Seems like the drive has already updated the HRL with the new key. As a last resort, you could try a remarry of the drive although I have NEVER done this so don't know if it works. Last edited by JonahUK; 10-22-2012 at 11:13 AM. |
