If this is true I wonder how those keys are generated/used. I saw this yesterday on (a now rare visit) irc and was like hmm lol but I didn't expect it to be real (if in fact it is). If this route isn't free the PC software I'm sure someone will reverse it eventually, its just a matter of those keys.... I'm guessing the pc software needs internet connection and connects to a server and the server sends the real goodies, or it could be some whack job security that just say yeah this key isn't used yet and just sets a flag that basically says all good to go in which case someone just needs to mod the pc app with that flag always set (I'm pretty sure this isn't the case).

Although I think that PC app is the interesting part and I'm sure there are people with enough skill and interest to tackle this, if the solution is really free why not just release the method? sure the pc app is easy to use but im sure there are people wanting to know how it works, what it does behind the scenes etc. (I don't think it will be free)

Edit: seems people are already at work on the firmware side, and with success. fingers crossed but who knows new noDRM cfw???

I think you guys are underrating this team. They actually made 4.25 cfw. Other devs couldn't. Their security was **** but we don't know why they made the security. The cfw was "free". But they stole your eid0 or maybe even cc details.

I think they didn't really want to secure the pup! But just making profit of it.

They could be working with Sony. Taking Eid0 from CFW users. Sell it to Sony and... Well. Sony can do whatever they wanna do with it. But still this is a real CFW and it does play pirated games. I'll just wait and see.
