That's not with new 4.21 cfw, going into recovery mode, yes that go's without saying. people are getting black screens going from 3.55 cfw to 3.55 ofw then 4.21 cfw.

EDIT:
I am on 4.21 cfw and I went from 3.55 cfw to 4.21 cfw.

Because Sony implemented new checks? Obviously since 3.56 they don't rely only on keys anymore, since they knew lv0 had the fail too. (and for 3.56 you didn't need new keys, so if it was only a matter of keys, you could have installed a CFW over OFW 3.56)
Anyway the new checks aren't documented so we won't know more until someone reverses them.

thanks mate..,since I have multiple PS3s and a Progskeet I have converted from CEX to DEX/DEX to CEX#CFW 3.55 to OFW 4.21/4.25 and back to CFW 3.55 again no bricking experienced.
