1 - This CFW does not have LV1 checks disabled and can not be installed on Downgraded PS3 consoles unless you have Dehashed / Reset Syscon Properly (if you're not sure about your PS3, Dehash it anyway to avoid any risk) Link - ---> Tutorial Dehashing

2 - Always make a NOR / NAND dump using multiMAN or memdump before installing this CFW to have a recovery backup in case of any bricks.

3 - Always use the Recovery Menu while installing this CFW to avoid Possible bricks (XMB update works, but is safer Recovery Menu).

4 - It's always better to have QA flag set (leave it Enabled) on your PS3 is safer upgrading / downgrading operations. Link ----> toggle_qa.pkg

5 - TrueBlue CFW users must update OFW3.55 back to before installing this CFW to avoid Possible bricks.

My ps3 is a CECH2501A running Rogero v3.7 (never downgraded)

It works ! So do the games

I used my E3 console, which was OFW 4.XX
Downgraded to CFW 3.55 (few weeks ago)
Enabled QA Flag (This resets your syscon enabling OFW to be installed)
Installed OFW 3.55
Installed CFW 3.55
Installed CFW 4.21

Fifa 13 v1.02 Official Update Works
Dishonored + Oficicial Update Works

Homebrew:

Only MM works, because its signed with new tools, Remember sony can't blacklist there own keys, they just implemented a self header check which was not coded into the original make_self tools, now this has been done, all homebrew signed with this new make_self will run on 3.56+ OFW and CFW regardless !!

Also one could enabled fself execution in any OFW/CFW and have homebrew for ever using the SDK tools. 3.41 was fself'd..

I downgraded my PS3 long time ago from 3.4x (cant remember) to 3.41 with regular PUP in service mode. Am i ok to install 4.21 or any other upcoming cfw? Thanks!

never downgraded from 3.56+
I was on kmeaw 3.55. But to make sure I dehashed syscon

Trying to get GT5 to run on newest update here: Update 1.05 fails after 15% with error 80029563.

Deleted game data, old fixes, BDEmu and stuff. Any suggestions?

Basic game runs (without updates).
Updates for Uncharted 3 install fine. Redownloaded Update 1.05 3 times now.

So this is my first post on this forum, however I have been following the scene for quite some time. I seldom feel the necessity to post responses to the drama the PS3 scene has cherished for such a long time.

Today, marks a celebration of what is possible when information is released and good work is achieved. Thank you to those who have made a difference and brought us to a new CFW.

I have been on CFW 3.55 kmeaw for awhile. Everything worked as promised. I have been bored at the lack of games the PS3 has offered and chose to buy them for the xbox 360. Nothing really has enticed me to go to dex or a different cfw until now.

Well I just successfully upgraded to the new firmware that was released by Rogero. ( see screenshot) says 3.55 but in the firmware it spoofs to 4.25 . (for the record i did not do any dehashed syscon before attempting nor did i revert back to OFW 3.55)
My method was simply going into recovery mode ( holding down the start button til it double beeps)
Copying the Rogero CFW to the ( PS3---> UPDATE )---> FOLDERS
From there pressing start and select found the update and volia it all seems to work as intended.

I am not sure yet how to test any of the games saved to my external HD as i used Multiman to mount the games and then play them...(currently multiman crashes when it starts)

Got this to work after bricking my ps3 when going DEX to CEX. Hopefully i had a ps3 break dongle lying around and revived my ps3. I made sure to do a proper dehash by qa flagging then i updated to CFW 4.21 and no problems so far.

So this can run all the 3.56+ games, but I'm assuming to play 3.55 & below games we have to downgrade back to 3.55 using a hardware flasher?

Also it says we need to have original game in BD. Does this mean it can be any original game?

So the benefit this has over dex is that it doesn't require external hdd to run 3.56 and higher games?

lv0 key was released, which means any newer firmware can be decrypted and any keys extracted from them. You don't need to worry about that lol
