Everything you can update or every file in the PUP IS NOT SIGNED WITH PCK. How should that work Dude ?? The console in update process do decrypt the syscon from pup and re-encrypt it with your PCK you think ?? |

O.o I didn't understand a word you just said. But I'm going to try to.
Syscon gets updated in every firmware. It can be written to using lv1. It doesn't decrypt then reencrypt. It's like the flash, some parts are the same. i.e. hashes. Last edited by master737373; 10-22-2012 at 06:40 PM. |

Well we just got the 4.21/4.25 keys today so pwning the bootloader is a lot more possible on higher firmwares. This can now be used on 4.21 CFW

I said it's encrypted per console, not signed with the pck.

Dude that's the same. Bootldr and metldr are per console encrypted with the per console key.
Lv0 is NOT per console encrypted and ergo NOT encrypted with any PER CONSOLE KEY. How do you want to encrypt something per console without a per console (uniqu) key ?? |

Right now, I am highly pissed that I have a CECH-3000 console, though the future does look bright.

It's not encrypted with the pck that encrypts parts of your eid or bootldr/metldr. But it's encrypted - per console. My syscon eeprom won't work in yours. Even if you changed the serials and rebuilt it. How many per console keys do you think there are? There's one that decrypt parts of your EID, others that decrypt other parts of your EID. One for bootldr/metldr and another for syscon. Last edited by master737373; 10-23-2012 at 12:15 AM. |

Thank you for teaching me and all others how dump we are being not able to get a derivated PCK out of the update process. ^^ Yea and there for the console can use a derivated PCK in update mode there for sony also can update bootloader and metloader when ever they want. ^^ Seriously?? We are all so dump. Sony use a derivated key to encrypt the syscon douring update but they are not able to encrypt the bootldr and metldr with a derivated key.
