This is very good news for the scene :D but I would advise everyone with out a hardware flasher to not upgrade to this cfw is case of bricks I am going to wait until everything is tested and is safe :-) or just have new games eboots signed to kmeaw 3.55 :-) Sony is probably pulling out their hair lol and getting some new lawyers

THIS IS AMAZING PROGRESS.

one question, how does playing games from internal/external work.

my problem is i have a few games i have have been scratched to shreds and no longer read, one has been completely broken (gotta love kids >.<) Is it possible to play the backups I have of these?

at first I was under the impression you had to play the game from the drive, but now I've seen a few posts from people playing from backups and I'm confused.

can any1 classify.

Nope.

You would need to be able to get back to 3.55 from factory.

You can play back ups from internal or external HDD, but you need simply a disc game in the drive to maximise back up compatibility. I recommend a 3.41-3.55 game disc just incase your PS3 tries to update from it.

It can be any $5 game from ebay.
