Hi there,

I'm trying to install red_ribbon_rc6 on me 3.55 ps3.
I have encountered TOO many problems to count and right now i have gotten up to the part where i am in petitboot mode and have entered "cd /tmp/petitboot/mnt/sda1/"
and "./create_hdd_region.sh", but when i re-reboot it just gives me the same options of "boot gameOS, Set video mode and exit to shell".
What on earth can i do? I am using a Fat NOR and on rebug 3.55.2 20gig partition.

The Problem has something to do with this:

So when i have written cd /tmp/petitboot/mnt/sda1/
and ./create_hdd_region.sh My screen should look like this-


But it looks like this-


Any ideas?

did you go to recovery mode and "Restored PS3 System"
That same happened to me when i forgot to do that..

Beware that by doing so you'll loose all your data...

by looking @ your output i would say you didn't (as it states you have no free sectors)...

anyway run "restore ps3 system" from recovery mode and then in XMB/settings/system info
check if you are missing the space you allocated to otheros++

anymore questions just hit me up...

So i did everything again. Same result.
I went to 3.55 ofw.
then did a "restore ps3 system".
then inserted rebug 3.55.2 20gb otheros++.
then "restore ps3 system" again.
Then installed and ran "setup_flash_for_otheros.pkg", the console beeped 3 times then went to a screen asking for 3.55 ofw, i rejected and it rebooted fine.
i installed and ran the rest of the apps and they all went to that screen asking for 3.55ofw.
I think that has something to do with the problem. Do you know where i can get the original 3.55_otheros++ cfw? all of the sites seem to be down or blocked.

@otherchris i really dont use rebug but you can fetch a 355 OFW and use MFW builder to build your own otheros++...
