WTF????

"Though the class says Sony misrepresented the quality of its protections, the judge found that all users signed a Sony Privacy Policy that included "clear admonitory language that Sony's security was not 'perfect,'" therefore "no reasonable consumer could have been deceived."

That pretty much states that if you agreed to their TOS (back then), it's your fault!

I think $ony has some more important problems now than to celebrate their "victory"

You can win a battle (on false grounds) $ony, but you can't win the war.... For now we win

As with all the the other cases that they've won, is it really surprising they won this one as well?

Welcome to the corporate-run world!

Yes, no security can be perfect, but then their security was was below standards and broke a lot of regulations, even the simplest idea of encrypting passwords was not done. This alone should have given them a hefty fine in the EU alone due to the Data Protections Laws here.

But as I said, corporate-run world, one law for us another law for them, or a nice bribe and they can break a tonne of laws.

Hence why you should be boycotting all $ony products now!

But luckily we got a win against them, cfw 4.21 has been released, and hopefully it will allow all the folks on 3.56+ to hack their consoles and let's hope it leads to the 3000 and 4000 models being hacked, as I think someone said lv0.2 needs to hacked on those as well.

Lost sales ?
It wont affect PS3 Console sales and most of the games that are pirated wont affect Sony either...
