i bet your ps3 has been q&a flag and u had a disc in the drive which is a 3.40 fw game . ? if so that is why . the ps3 install from the drive before usb stick . if u had a 3.56+ fw game well u would of been on that fw but luckey u had a 3.40 game

is there any way to fix the 8 beep error? I flashed my cex backup and had a power surge right after. I thought I could use something to boot into factory service mode but I don't know what to do after that.

Hello, i've installed the CFW 4.21 and all went fine. NO Problems.
Last week i was on DEX 4.21 and i wanted to go back to CEX.
I tried that and my PS3 bricked. I repaired it (E3 flasher) Factory mode. and then installed
Rogero's CFW 3.55 v3.7 .
Yesterday came the big news CFW 4.21, so i gave it a try. I dehashed my ps3 first.
I went back to OFW 3.41 (service mode)
Then to KMEAW 3.55 (service mode)
The to CFW 4.21 (XMB menu) NO PROBLEMS!!!!!!
Installed multiman 04.08.00 and played PES 2013 (updated in game) and played without problems. (PES 2013 pure rip)

What model and FW base did you do it?

When I flash back to CEX from DEX with my original dump, what format should that file be in? When we went to DEX we had to change it to a .NORBIN file (from .bin). When we flash back to CEX do we just use the exact .bin file (which I think is called Flash_stor_xxxxx) or do we change the file extension on that one to .NORBIN also?
