It's hard to give a correct answer. There's an above average number of people talking about their PS3 getting bricked from this, even going straight from KMEAW 3.55. The problem is that until the dust settles, we won't know if these people are talking sense or they are just the usual annoying pricks that "swear blind their console hasn't been downgraded", when it has. These people have usually sourced "their 3.55 hacked ps3" from somewhere else and don't have a ****ing clue what they're doing and it hasn't occurred to their pea sized brains that their console might have been downgraded....Shock horror!!!...BEFORE they owned it...(play duh duh duhhhhhhhhh) sound during previous sentence.

Now, this may or may not be true, but if I were you and you don't have a hardware flasher - give it a few days to see what the score is. You've waited this long, waiting a bit longer isn't going to kill you.

Personally quite enjoying the karma of bricks myself, but more than happy to help someone who asks questions like yourself before doing something silly.

In answer to 3. This firmware will play backups from your internal\external drive no problem. But it needs proper encrypted original eboots to run. Any games you have that have "been fixed for 3.55 or 3.41" will need resigning again with their original keys. There's a thread here were a kind chap has made a utility that will do this for you.

wierd thing happened to my NOR FAT while installing this CFW 4.21 Rogero, from Rebug 3.55.2 to OFW 3.55 then I installed Otheros++Special.PUP and activating QA flag, from Recovery Mode I installed Kmeaw and the wierd thing happened (I downgraded my console to 2.76 OFW) so I updated to OFW 3.55 again and then Kmeaw and to CFW 4.21 Rogero succesfully no bricking..can anyone give some explanation with the BOLD sentences above,please?thanks Masters...

Human error, you were clearly installing a PUP containing firmware 2.76 at one point when you thought you were installing KMEAW or whatever.

When your ps3 has qa flag toggled on, it will look to update from the disc in the drive first.

Next time take the disc out.

Wrong...... all of my n0drm and Duplex etc fixed games are working fine in 4.21

(a couple have needed the game data deleted via xmb) just install the latest update and ur good to go

Showtime also works from xmb and within multiman

yeah i realized that too guys, my Wolfenstein BD was still in the BD Drive and I didn't see the PUP's source whether it's from USB or Disc.. what a HUMAN ERROR thanks Masters...
