I decided to make a list of the tested PS3's that are supported and not supported by Rogeros CFW to prevent more bricked consoles. Feel free to add or update this list.

(*it resets your EBOOT modifications for 4.21FW)

Here are the 4 main reasons of bricking:

1. Installing CFW 4.21 Rogero on a PS3 with True Blue CFW.
2. Installing from the XMB while it is recommend to do that from the Recovery Menu. (If you don't know how to enter a Recovery then u shouldn't even do the whole operation)
3. Downloaded file with a bad MD5 hash.
4. PS3 was previously or is downgraded.

What can you do to fix this?
Be patient and wait for the next release of the CFW!

Lots of people are asking about their own consoles if it's safe or not to install a new CFW. I or any other user here can tell you that. It is always possible to brick your console... ALWAYS! What you need to do is just to be patient and wait for the better functional release. Do what I did... Install OFW 3.55 and then Full Format your PS3 HDD (make sure to backup your files first). That way you make sure every customazation is gone. Then after that just wait for better release of the new CFW, play games on PC or something.

You should put 25xx and base firmware

25xx = 3.50

I have installed it on 2 2501a, and they are both fine. the 01 is region a means 160gb hdd
These were both 3.40 base firmware. The bricks I have seen are 3.50 base.

But good idea. I would just fix that though so there is no confusion.

I had TB CFW on my CECHH-04. Installed 3.55 OFW, then directly installed 4.21 CFW. Working no problem.

So add CECHH-04 to your list.

My model number sounds more like the "Do not install on this" consoles.
My PS3 came with 3.40 and was never downgraded but i am still not sure if i should proceed further or not.

EDIT : Just read playerkp420's post and saw that he installed CFW 4.21 on 3.40 base firmware model but still i will wait.
@poorguy let me know what happens when you will install this CFW

That is a little misleading. That is why I said in the first reply.

I don't think the problem is with the region. Or what size your HDD is.
It seems most of the bricks are

CECH-25xx (JSD-001) with 3.56 from factory - datecode 0D
CECH-25xx (JTP-001) with 3.56 from factory - datecode 1A 	E9 60 	0E 92 	2F570 	2F 53 	2F 53 	OK 	3.50

Not sure which motherboard and date code, or both of them. Users are not giving the correct info when reporting the brick. I believe it is a problem with bootloader. And those model #'s posted in OP, don't tell you crap about which metldr or bootloader they have.

Those that have bricked need to look at this chart and figure out which motherboard and base firmware their PS3 was.

Kinda stupid of me to update (without someone testing and confirming) but I was excited, no problems so far (I installed rogero 4.21 cfw the day it was released sorry for the late report
