I have read that they removed a lot of crash details from the BSoD in 8. I am not sure who had that bright idea at Microsoft....

I can kinda see the appeal of metro for touchscreens or something like the xbox but for a desktop PC no thanks!

Designing a ui that a retard can use doesn't take away from the fact that some people are just plain retarded and shouldn't be allowed near a ****ing computer!!

Windows 7 tid.

I use my PC both for gaming and as a workstation and after trying Windows 8 for a solid week i can safely say that it's garbage:

-Metro it's a visual/usability abomination that's good only for casual apps and it's a pain to rearrange the tiles to make it usable, not to mention that it continues to pop up even when you are not using it.
-They removed a lot of customization and advanced options, something that for someone like me that likes to have full control it's inexcusable.
-They removed aero transparencies and replaced them with ugly solid colors that hurt the eyes after some hours of work.
-Everything that i can do on 8 i can do on 7 wasting less time and using less mouse clicks.

The only pros i can find are the somewhat better performance(that i can't even notice since i use a SSD) and better security and drivers management.
My opinions is if you consider yourself more than a casual user then stay the hell away from 8.

dont forget at the moment you have very limited options for aero/customization simply because you have not activated windows yet.

this is a very good source of windows 8 (link)

I have to say that even activated it still lacks a lot in terms of customization.
You can always use third party programs to make it seem less horrid but at that point you are better off just using 7

Runs great on my new MacBook Pro Retina 512Mb

Choose for win8 for better ssd support. If you use win8 for some time you will get used to it. There is also a hack to activate the gadgets again (very useful to have the shutdown/restart/hibernate gadget on the desktop because there is no start-menu anymore).

Within 15 seconds my win8 is booted
