I don't really see why $ony never bothered to add essential features such as allowing the end users to install all PS3 games data on the HDD and custom soundtrack.

Both features that I listed are decided by the developers if they're allowed or not. I really wish PS3 wouldn't need to be restricted to the decision of the devs, it's their game, but I bought the games and I'm the one that makes the final decision.

Right now my PS3's still with 4.21 OFW but someday I'll downgrade it or who knows in the future if a 4.21 CFW for 4.21 OFW is produced.

Microsoft owns a patent on in-game music. If Sony allowed forcing in-game music on all games, they would be breaching the patent. So they allow devs to allow/disallow it.
